For the month of May in honor of APAHM, Send Chinatown Love is organizing a series of community initiatives centered around the theme of BUILDING BRIDGES & MAKING CONNECTIONS. We chose this theme in light of recent events that have historically occurred and continue to occur – among the Asian hate crimes, subway shootings, and closure of our beloved small businesses, we are deprived of our right to feel safe in our communities. We don’t have all the answers, but we hope to foster connections in an attempt to re-weave the broken fabric of our community. In a time that feels increasingly despairing, we hope to build bridges between members of different communities.
Extend a hand to your neighbors and let’s find comfort in the strength of those who are here. Let’s emerge stronger and united. |

IN-PERSON VOLUNTEERING
Support your local community by volunteering! We're partnering with various community organizations to host a series of in-person volunteering events, including events to hand out free, culturally sensitive meals to community members at one of our partners’ locations.
