Chinatown continues to face challenges and increased financial pressures even “post-COVID”, with 59% of Chinatown merchants reporting a decrease in business (Commercial District Needs Assessment).

  • Meals for Unity: nonprofit whose mission is to uplift those in need through community and food.

  • Asian Americans for Equality: nonprofit community development organization, is building affordable housing and economic opportunity, providing an array of multilingual community services and fostering grassroots leadership and civic engagement. Through their affiliate  Renaissance Economic Development Corporation, AAFE also provides low-interest loans, training and counseling services for small business owners.
